Ryansnyder posted a review: It was Christmas Eve, and all eyes were on the decanter. Why? Because a bottle of 1992 Silver Oak had been emptied into it. I was actually a little skeptical at first that a 1992 had made it this long, but it had. The first glimpse I had was the aroma, which smelled exactly like a Bordeaux - subtle fruits, with a focus on musty barrels and earthy gravel / petrol. On the palate, it was a tasty meld of stewed cherries, baked blackberry and a little fresh raspberry, with a constant intermingling of aged French oak and a gravelly dust. I was impressed. The fruits were slipping just a little bit, so if you've got a couple stashed in your cellar still, drink up! Rating: 4.18 / 5.00
