"Quite honestly, I didn't have high hopes for how the wine would taste, despite its Chilean lineage. I expected mediocrity or worse...and that's more or less what I was treated to."

I am amazed at the comments on the net about Royal Bitch - obviously there are a ton of uptight wine snobs out there who can't appreciate a terrific wine and sense of humor at the same time. Get a Life, you snobs

I am in possession of a bottle of 2001 Royal Bitch that I pulled out of the debrise from my in laws home after Hurricane Katrina. The house was completely wiped down to the slab but the bottle was unbroken, as were several others. Anyone interested in owning it? bpd176@aol.com

I agree. Opened a bottle at Winter Solstice with some girlfriends and we were all very pleasantly surprised!
Read a "snobby" review re: smell of
turpentine, and do not at all agree.
If you need to be "in" with the experts,
don't try Royal Bitch....that leaved more
for us independent tasters.
