Marquette: By Amberg Wine Cellars 2006 (Marquette is the Name of the Grape)

Growingrapes posted a review:

Wow. Seems that this "Marquette" grape winters well. Withstands temps of 20-30 below zero. Tastes almost identical to a shiraz. The Ambergs sell these vines all over the country as well so hopefully we'll see more of this gem. For a region not typically known for it's red wines, the Marquette is a great start towards the future.Wonderful aroma, easy on the pallet with a smooth finish that leaves you wanting more. They also have a Corot Noir. I'll write about that next.
