Do vineyards in bloom make grape honey?

Posted by Roberrific on 7/23/2007 10:50:27 AM

I always wondered about that? How do grape plants pollinate? Do the blossoms make nectar? And if so are honey bees required to pollinate the massive vineyards of the world's largest wine regions? And if so where is the honey?

I was thinking this would make a great story for my new website http://www.wine-assistant.com

or it would make a good discussion on http://www.wondercafe.ca

I will credit whomever answers the question on both domains.
