3 of 5 stars - The winemaker, Dominique sells Clos Bourgelat at the Sunday Market on the Chartrons quayside in Bordeaux. It is always a very convivial affair, with litres of his easy drinking basic "Dimanches" cuvee being drunk with Oysters. The cuvee which carries the "Clos Bourgelat" label is a step up with nettley, resinous and lemony, appley aromas and flavours with a streak of almost minerally acidity going through the medium bodied, leanish but decently concentrated palate and ends on a shortish but balanced finish. It is a good traditional Graves white, which is excellent with all sorts of fish and poultry dishes, served preferably not in a sauce.
