Who else has heard about/tried the "Wine Clip"?

Has anyone tried the Wine Clip? Here's how I found out about it - A good friend of mine who lives across the country - we email each other red wine recommendations a lot- recently told me about something that he said can make a young, red wine immediately taste smooth and balanced, with no bite. Kind of like it had aged a few years and then been decanted. He called it the "Wine Clip." Sounded a little hard to believe but he was very clear that it worked for him. I found it online at the link he gave me (http://www.800feetfirst.com/pr/WineClip.html). It did sound great - had a good testimonial from Bon Appetit Magazine - and it came with a full lifetime guarantee, so I bought one. I got it a couple of days later. I had bought a 2006 cabernet to test it on. I opened the bottle and immediately poured a fingerful into my glass and tasted it. No aeration, no decanting, no swirling in the glass -I just tasted it. It had little nose, a real bite and a pretty nice flavor. I put on the Clip and immediately poured a fingerful into another glass. It tasted great! No bite. Very smooth. And it even had a more complex flavor. Amazing! How could it be? The Clip use magnets and can apparently break down the tannins in the wine. It also seems to affect the oxygen in a way that makes the wine taste like its been decanted or aerated. I use mine all the time now - even on older wines. Its effect isn't so noticeable on those, though. Who else has tried it? Did you have similar results?

The page posted doesn't load for me. However I use a similar product, basically a piece of wood that promised the same results as your 'clip'. I swear by it, open a bottle and let it sit for 10min and voila - a perfect glass of vino :)
