Newton Merlot Napa Valley Unfiltered 2002

Intense, focused and complex, with excellent structure and pure cassis and black cherry-laced fruit that turns fleshy midpalate before the tannins firm up on the finish. The best Merlot from this producer in a while. Drink now through 2011. 7,000 cases made.
