You don’t find much riesling in Napa Valley. It’s a region dominated by cabernet sauvignon and the Bordeaux varietals, with shares of zinfandel, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, except in the cooler Carneros region to the south, where plenty of chardonnay and pinot noir is planted.
