According to Kermit Lynch in his book “Adventures on the Wine Route”, a hundred years ago Chassagne was largely planted in red grapes, and he also quotes the old records of the Marquis de Laguiche where it is stipulated that “one gives one bottle of Chassagne Morgeots rouge for two bottle of Le Montrachet.” Shock!
