Rutherglen Estates Sangiovese 2005

Rutherglen Estates first vintage of Sangiovese was in 2001. According to their website, this wine was aged in oak hogsheads, 10% of which were new Hungarian, and this particular type of oak was chosen to accentuate the bright cherry notes as well as the naturally spicy and savoury characters.
