Les Champs-Canet is a 4 ha premier cru at the north end of Puligny-Montrachet – all the Grand Cru action is at the southern end. I haven’t tried a lot of wine from Puligny, but this wine displayed a very odd nose: smoky and herby, austere lemony fruits, precise and focussed, but ultimately lean in character. [...]
