I like Mataro. And you don’t see many straight Mataro around; I can only think of Hewitson, Spinifex and Wirra Wirra. I am sure there are more. A deep red in colour. The nose offers succulent red and black fruits, green peppercorns, stalks, a dash of fondant and herbs, and maybe a smidge of pine resin. [...]
