Tyrrell’s Vat 9 Shiraz 2002

I was going to have the 2005 vintage of this wine, but decided against it having espied a 2002 in the cellar recently. Initially the nose seemed quite ripe - lots of primary fruits, with red plums and some liquorice leading the parade, and strangely a palate that was a bit thin and dry. [...]
