Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 1996

Gosh I find it hard to describe Champagne in any sort of meaningful way. I’ll do my best anyway. The Comtes de Champagne is Taittinger’s top cuvee. It is a blanc de blanc (100% chardonnay) made from top Grand Cru vineyards, and only in top vintages. Tops. Five percent sees new oak. Very pale colour. [...]
