Coldstream Hills Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

I was very excited about trying this wine again, and the nose promised oh-so-much. Big ribena fruits, sweet and juicy, really quite stunning. The palate was similiarly impressive, but unfortunately the wine was marred by an undercurrent of cardboardy taint, and though I tried hard to ignore it, closing it out and refusing its existence, [...]
